Tapioca starch production is primarily by the wet milling of fresh cassava roots. Starch is the main component of cassava. Around 25% starch can be obtained from mature, good quality tubers. Around 60 % starch may be extracted from dry cassava chips and around 10 % dry pulp is likely to get per 100 kg of cassava roots.

1. Cassava Washing/De-stone Unit 
New harvest cassavas should be dried, sieved, and remove the impurities as soon as possible, and then stored in daily designated area.
 
2. Broken Unit
Cassava roots feed into rasping machine by screw conveyer. The second rasping machines is necessary so that prevent production line stop when change the blade.
 
3. Starch Extraction/Fiber Separation Unit during the tapioca starch production line
The cassava paste after milling mixed with water then pump into the first level screen. The wet fiber goes down from the first screen and pumped into the second, third and the fourth extraction screen, be sent to the fiber dryer dehydration. Wet residue dry matter content after dehydration is 10-12%

4. Enrichment Unit
The starch slurry from the extraction process in the first level of cone sieve which is pumped into the rotary self-cleaning filter. Then starch slurry is concentrated.
 
5. Desand Unit 
Starch milk after concentration is sent to a mixing tank, and then starch can use two levels of de-sander expel sand and the sand collected uses butterfly valve to eject.
 
6. Refined Unit
During this process, the starch will be cleaned and refined with 12-14 level cyclone. Refined unit is able to work automatically and equip with the necessary instruments. Starch slurry concentration is around 35-40% after the refined 
 
7. Fine Fiber Sieve Unit
The overflow consists of numerous protein, salt, sugar, soluble fiber material and fine fibers after refined. Transferring their to fine fiber separation screen to extract fine fiber. It can collect with cans so that to clean in extract unit..
 
8. Dehydration Unit during tapioca starch production line
Starch slurry remove moisture through vacuum filter. And, The wet starch with moisture is around 38—40% after dehydration.

9. Starch Dry Unit
This system is suspension air dry and the characteristic is the product of dry and hot air mixed evenly. What is more, suspended airflow drying system has high efficiency even the product particle size distribution is wide.
