On January 31st, 2024, small scale cassava starch project successfully installed in Oyo state of Nigeria. This starch line is to process 2 tons fresh cassava tubers per hour. Installation of the production line was just completed, waiting for testing and commissioning when water, electricity and raw cassava tubers are ready.

This Nigerian client placed an order on our cassava starch project equipment at the end of 2020. But because of the COVID, our project manager had to finish all meetings with the client through online media, via which we both sides visited the starch equipment manufacturing production base, confirmed the equipment list, discussed the layout design, and finally reached the cooperation intention.

We arranged the shipment for this small scale cassava starch project equipment in 2021. All the cassava starch machines were loaded in two 40ft containers and one 20ft containers, and then were shipped to Nigeria from Qingdao Port, China.

The installation of cassava starch equipment

Local technicians were recommended and sent to support the installation of the cassava starch project equipment during the COVID. All related drawings for equipment layout, foundation, platform, pipe networks, etc were provided to our Nigerian client and local technicians to help the successful installation. Besides, to avoid the unnecessary problems appearing in the installation which may influence the normal operation of this small scale cassava starch production line, we also offered online guidance and video call at the same time.

The whole cassava starch production line for this Nigerian project consists of several sections: raw cassava cleaning, washing, cutting, crushing, fiber separation, de-sanding, starch concentration and refining, dewatering, starch flour drying, sieving and packaging. With this two-ton-per-hour input cassava starch production line, this Nigerian client can get around 500kg starch per hour. Apart from main equipment, electricity control cabinets were matched to control equipment easily.
